Clamor began as a rapid-prototyping club competition idea. I wanted to build something fun and move quickly, but I also wanted to explore a real problem in a large, established product category: important context gets lost inside high-volume messaging apps.
Discord and similar tools are excellent for conversation, but weak as long-term organizational memory. Decisions disappear into scrollback, action items lose their owners, and new members have to reconstruct context by asking the same questions again.
The competition idea became an independent product experiment: could an AI layer turn chat history into trustworthy, useful memory without replacing the tools a community already uses? That question shaped Clamor's digests, action extraction, onboarding briefs, alerts, and source-backed answers.
